Coral Reef Resort is located in beautiful Shipyard Plantation. This plantation encompasses 883 acres on Hilton Head Island's eastern shore. The plantation has a full array of amenities available, including golf, tennis, bicycle trails, and a beach just one mile away. The pool is open year round and is heated during the fall and winter months. Pool area includes hot tub and tot's pool. There are miles of bicycle, rollerblading, and walking paths. ''Definitely needs updating. The refrigerator water filter needed changed. The whole kitchen including all appliances and utensil’s need to be updated. The sheets or mattress pad don’t fit the bed so in ended up sleeping on the mattress. The garbage was piled high the whole week we were here. It was gross.''
''Omg. The first hour we were there, we had to battle a cockroach in the bathroom! My daughter was scared to go in there the rest of the time. Then there were three roaches that were there over the course of three days. And no, we don't have roaches at home, so we were shaking out everything before packing up. We told management about the roaches, they said that they would send pest control (don't know if they did or not). The suite was nice, the rooms were a good size and the main bathroom was very nice. The half of the dishes were dirty. There were several utensils and cups with old food/drink on it.''
''Considering how nice this property is and the excellent customer service of the manager( I believe her name is Sylvia). I wish I could give it a 5, but it had roaches in the first apartment they put us in. They did switch us to another unit without any issues. All in all, we had a great stay. I would still recommend the hotel. I was told that South Carolina has roaches but one of the sellers for the timeshare.''
''This place was very nice and clean. The staff was helpful as well. My only issue was that the room I stayed in was very close the the pool which I had no issue with until night time.. they have speakers out there playing loud music and it does not shut off after hours.. had I not known I was staying with a few people that snor very loudly, I wouldn't have had my ear plugs packed with me.. I think to better this in the future you guys should put a timer on your radio/speakers.. I could hear the very loud music playing all the night long even with the ear plugs in.. it made sleeping through the night rather difficult.''
