''The hotel is very clean and extremely well maintained. The staff is excellent. The only downside was the bathroom was very small for having two bedrooms. Bed was very comfortable with nice linens and comforter. Close to beach and restaurants. Nice Starbucks coffee machine in lobby. Pool area Is very small. A special key was required for the gym and it only works one time. Also the hairdryer had to be checked out from the front desk.''

''How much did we love Ocean Palms? We are already planning our next stay. The location is so great... we parked the car and walked everywhere we wanted to go. The "resort" which has the feel of a charming and amenity-rich motel, (lovely grounds, courtyard with firepits and cozy seating, a gazebo adjacent to the courtyard, attractive pool area) is across the street from the Carlsbad State beach; beach access is a short walk away. Note to dog owners: the Carlsbad beaches do not allow dogs even if they are leashed 😒. Our dog was welcome at Ocean Palms, and most shop owners are welcoming - we didn't encounter even one rejection - but we had to drive some distance to the Delmar dog beach for some time on the sand with our pup. I guess some inconsiderate dog owners have forced us all to suffer. You will love staying here unless you are only 5-star fancy people. Ocean Palms is 5-star clean, comfortable, family-owned, friendly, well located, charming and wonderful.''

''Absolutely, stunning hotel with the most beautiful grounds, tropically landscaped with beautiful warm fire pits lit at night throughout the beautiful tropical landscaping. Have some sort of Ocean view and the ocean is right across the street a very easy street which it does have very easy beach access. Very centrally located so that you are in walking distance of all the restaurants and all the lovely stores. Absolutely highly recommend, this stunning cottage like hotel by the Sea. ''We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and it never fails to deliver a restful "escape" with several family members and multiple rooms, or a quiet get-away with my husband. The Ocean Palms is clean, cozy, and friendly. Even the studio unit we chose had a full kitchen. And the beach is only a flight of steps away! Fabulous place!''
